Questions you need to ask your
Security Provider.
Are your systems serviceable by other security companies?
The #1 question to ask. Avoid companies with "proprietary" systems, which tie you to their servicing. If you're unhappy with that service, your only option is to replace the equipment.
Are you licensed? What type?
Make sure they are licensed specifically for the work they are doing for you.
How long will it take to do the job?
Fast isn't necessarily ideal. A job complete too quickly can lead to sloppy wiring and cabling. Has the provider considered the aesthetics of your property?
Can you provide proof of insurance? What are the limits?
What if a company causes major damage to your property? Look for a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
Does the customer or the company own the equipment?
With a lease (company-owned system), you can often end up paying far more for the system than if you bought it outright.
